Looking Psychic
Sometimes our newspaper prints things that make my blood boil - headlines that are cryptic or grammatically incorrect. Then there are the times that I read something (other than the comic page) that just sends me into fits of laughter. I'm not sure if this is a case of parental passive aggressiveness or if the tongue-in-cheek announcement was a peek into the playfulness the young couple embrace. Either way I got a good chuckle out of it and it made going into work a little more bearable!
Anyway, I thought it might entertain you as well!

I'm curious about the spacing gaps between the text.
This is definitely unique.
I think the gaps were to fill the space and to stretch the text. I have to write a newsletter and sometimes when the columns are narrow you end up with odd spacing especially if you align left. I was amused by this..
That's a long way to go to mess with PTO days!
I imagine there are lots of folks that don't have many paid time off days left in December!! At least not many for traveling to Mexico for a wedding!
That is funny. Do people still get paid time off?? I suppose they do. It's been a long time since I retired. I never got any PTO!!
heh heh.
So glad to see your name in the comments!! Yes there are some who get paid time off but mostly it is earned time off. You work and instead of giving you overtime pay they give you time off. I was amused with the announcement. I suppose there aren't too many folks that take the time to read the entire newspaper...
Lol ! Sometimes the best parts of the newspaper are in the fine print in back.
And the most mistakes too! I think they give the underlings the copy for the back pages. Lots of Their/There/They're mistakes to be found... But then every once in awhile you find a gem in the fine print!
