  • Looking Congested

    Nighttime congestion
    Allergy or summer cold
    I struggle to breathe

Here is a little Haiku that pretty much tells the story. I was under the weather and under water - at least that is what my sinuses were trying to accomplish. I got my flu shot last week and have been achy and sniffly since. This weekend intensified the symptoms despite massive quantities of Vitamin C, increased fluid intake, and the zinc tablets. Saturday was a lost day. By Sunday I was feeling much better! I went geocaching with saintvi and her husband in the afternoon. Sparky and I had made plans to visit a new restaurant with our old friends Charley and Julie Sunday evening. I felt great all day! Monday was a busy day but the late afternoon saw me traveling to visit with saintvi and do a Wine and Canvas painting (I'm sure that she has posted the process already). I wish I could stay home today except I took yesterday off and today is an all day training session for the highly anticipated and eagerly awaited Six Sigma Yellow Belt training. I'm feeling much better but it took nearly a week to recover from the flu shot...

  • I've been fighting allergies for the last couple of weeks too -- perhaps better wait for a flu shot! Glad you're feeling better -- am anxioux to see the paintings and hear about your geocaching.

    • We had fun and it was all good. I am sort of over the illness (she says as she has a coughing fit). I think it must be allergies. Was at the Mall and was fine until we walked into the Bath and Body Works store. All the scents ran up my nose and I sneezed and coughed and had to abandon the place!

  • I have heard of many people feeling ill after receiving the shot, which is one reason I never do.

    • This is the first time I've had any illness other than a little swelling and soreness for a day or two...

  • I haven't posted anything. Didn't even boot up my computer until after 9 PM today. But I did finally get the grass mowed.

    • I hope your thumb is feeling better and you didn't completely do yourself in mowing! I haven't even looked at the photos I took - they probably didn't come out it was a little dark in the room...

  • @murisopsis: I was feeling better yesterday, but stuck to the riding mower and skipped the weed-eater until today. @murisopsis: Today, my hands feel fine. It's weird how I'll be in so much pain one day and fine (or hurting in a different place) the next.

    • Glad you were able to get the lawn mowed but it sucks when you never know what's going to hurt next! I've got my fingers crossed that the new meds help the pain and don't mess with your stomach!!!
