Looking Hopeful
We had a good day yesterday - visited with my mother, went shopping at Goodwill (3 different stores), lunch out and finally dinner at my sister's house! It was a good day. My sister made a no-knead bacon chive bread that was fabulous. She also made a pork roast that was so tender and flavorful that it was irresistible. I wish I had photos for you but my phone has been trying to find a wi-fi connection and has worn itself out - not to mention drained its battery. I had a moment of hope - Sparky got a phone call from the people he had been interviewing with. They want to set up a phone interview and wanted him to give them his salary range. It is all very promising. So I start today a little more relaxed and a lot more hopeful. This is turning out to be a great vacation!!!
To fulfill the May 2015 Scavenger Hunt, I leave you with a little haiku. It rhymes which is NOT how haiku work but I couldn't help myself! The prompt was bonsai.

I like the bonsai haiku. I love Goodwill days!
Thanks! I love that the haiku requires you to condense your thoughts to 17 syllables! The Goodwill stores were everywhere and the prices were cheaper than at home which was a surprise.
The food sounds delicious.
Fingers crossed for Sparky.
I'm glad you are enjoying your vacation.
We are all crossing fingers and toes! I really want him employed soon. I love that he can drive me to work or work in the yard and take care of some minor household repairs BUT he really needs to have that real job.
Yes, what Crystalinne said ~ sounds scrumptious!!
The bread was so good and the recipe very easy. I'm going to have to try it once I get home. Perhaps I'll post photos and the recipe!
Good wishes to Sparky! And meantime, have a great vacation -- hope it continues as well as it has begun!
So far so good. No matter what bumps there are in the road, we are determined to have fun - thus a bumpy ride is kind of like a carnival ride that is free! hehe!
You are off and running on this latest "scavenger hunt." Do you know "Seedsower", from Xanga? She lives in Oley, not far from Reading, PA.
Yes I know Beth but it doesn't look like I'll be able to drop in and say hi. I wish I could but the schedule has been too full!
